If your booking was made on themaritime.ie, you can change the room type, stay dates, or package via our Manage My Booking facility. However if your booking was made via our Reservations Team, please contact us in order to make the required changes.
Please be aware that if you also purchased hotel extras directly from www.themaritime.ie such as tickets, these are not automatically transferred to your new booking and must be rebooked.
Bookings made through a third party
If your booking was made through a third party (such as a travel agent, online agency such as Booking.com), and you need to change or cancel your booking please contact the original sales agent or website directly.
Yes, we require a credit card or debit card for all reservations. This guarantees your room until your arrival date. Your card will not be charged until you arrive at the hotel, unless we require a security deposit prior to arrival. If you cancel your reservation outside our cancellation policy, you will be charged for the first nights stay.

A 25% security deposit is required.
We require 48 hours’ notice to cancel a room free of charge. If you cancel your reservation outside our cancellation policy, you will be charged for the first night’s stay. This applies to bookings made directly on our hotel website, or bookings made over the phone. For third party bookings, please consult their website, however usually the cancellation policy is also 48 hrs for other websites.
Cancellation by the customer
Written notification of a cancellation in the form of an email is required if unnecessary charges are to be avoided. If we do not receive the required notice of cancellation, the full booking fee may be charged. The following is our policy.
For meetings that are scheduled to last between 1 and 5 hours, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations or amendments. When the required notice is provided, no charge will apply. If the required notice is not provided the full booking fee will be charged.
For meetings that are scheduled to last for 5 hours or more we require a minimum of 1 week’s notice of cancellations or amendments for no charge to apply. If provided with notice that is more than 48 hours but less than 1 week – a charge of 50% of the booking fee will apply. If provided with notice that is less than 48 hours, the full booking fee will be charged.
Cancellation by the hotel
The hotel may cancel any meeting room booking on the basis that; there is a possibility the meeting may become over-subscribed or difficult to manage, it poses a threat of any kind to our management and staff, it may prejudice or potentially damage the reputation of the hotel. In such event, the hotel will refund all advance payments made but will have no further liability to the client. In addition, the hotel may cancel any meeting room booking if the Hotel becomes aware of any deterioration in the client's financial situation such that the Hotel reasonably considers the client may not be able to fulfil its material obligations under the agreement; or if the client fails to pay any sum when due.

The Maritime Hotel is a non-smoking hotel and additional cleaning fee charges will apply for any rooms that don’t comply with this rule.
Yes, we have ample free parking at The Maritime Hotel. There is an underground carpark with access to the hotel. The entrance to this is located on the opposite side of the road from the hotel. We have a number of accessible spaces designated and available.

The Maritime Hotel reserves the right to refuse accommodation to any person(s) without any notice and terminate any booking without being liable for any refund or compensation for the following reasons:
Yes, we can store your luggage if you arrive to the hotel before 4.00pm; there is no charge for this service.
Yes, WiFi is free for all guests and available in all bedrooms and throughout the hotel.
We do not accept pets of any kind in The Maritime Hotel.
Service dogs are welcome throughout the hotel.

No, there are no fridges in the bedrooms. We do have fridges in all of our 1 and 2 bedroom suites only. These rooms are available at an upgrade charge.
We do have a facility to store anything including medicine in the main hotel fridges if required; this can be arranged with reception.
Yes, all of our guests have complimentary use of Club Maritime Leisure Centre. You can enjoy our 19 Meter pool, kiddies’ pool, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi and fully equipped gym.
Children under 16yrs must be supervised by an adult when using the facilities.
Visitors aged 16yrs and older only are permitted entry into the gym.

Brunch is served from 10.30 - 12.30 in the Maritime Bar.
Bar Food is served from 12.00-21.00.

An Post mail can be franked at the Hotel Reception at the same cost as stamps and we can post the items on your behalf.
Should you need Medical Services during your stay please contact our Reception or our Duty Manager who can contact a Doctor on your behalf. The Bantry Bay Medical centre is located next to the hotel reception which is open during normal doctor hours.
